The black ice physics in Escape Road Winter are no joke. I was cruising at full speed thinking I had a clean run and hit one ice patch on a mountain corner — spun straight into a tree. Genuinely scared me. Once you learn to brake early this game is incredible. Already on my third longest run of the night.
Escape Road Winter is the perfect seasonal twist on a game I already loved. The snowfall looks gorgeous and the new mountain sections are a great change of pace from the city streets. Knocked one star because the spike strips are brutal — I lost a 4-minute run to one I literally could not see in the whiteout. Still 10/10 recommend.
Was not expecting a winter version of Escape Road to feel this different from the original but the ice handling completely changes how you drive. You can't just drift through corners anymore — you have to actually slow down. Unlocked the SUV and the difference is night and day on icy roads. This is genuinely my favorite version of the game now.
